Therapeutic Massage
Touch is one of our most powerful senses. In the same way that you instinctively rub your shoulder when it hurts, or gently stroke an upset child’s back to comfort them – a massage treatment can calm, soothe and sedate; or provide relief from emotional upset, stress or bereavement. Massage can also invigorate and re-energise; as well as relieve muscular pain and tension and improve poor circulation.

Holistic massage isn't just about helping you feel good about yourself, or soothing away aches and pains; the holistic ethos approaches treatment of the person as a whole, considering factors such as stressors, diet, emotional upsets in addition to the presenting physiological conditions in order to help restore balance and harmony to the body.

Full body treatments are available for 60 min or 75 min sessions in three distinct focuses: "Soothing Touch" (to soothe and relax), "Muscle Ease" (to relieve tension and knots); and "Enliven" (to invigorate).

The following Mini Treatments are available and last for half an hour:  Head, Neck & Shoulders Massage; Face It (Face & Scalp Massage); Bring Me Back (Focus on the back); Leg It (Thighs, Legs & Feet) and Free Choice (Area of your choosing).

Aromatherapy and Aromatic massage build upon the foundations of holistic massage - adding another dimension to your treatment.

Aromatherapy is more than just adding aromatic fragrance to your massage treatment. Essential oils can have powerful healing effects on our physiology.

There are oils for healing, pain and stress relief, oils for the alleviation and management of depression, anxiety, grief and low self-esteem; there are even oils that can relieve PMT, constipation and flatulence.
As with Therapeutic massage you can opt for the focus of your choice: Soothing Touch, Enliven and Muscle Ease; and treatments are available in 30, 60 and 75 min durations.

Stone Therapy/Geothermotherapy is a more therapeutic form of stone massage and is also known as LA Stone Therapy.  It uses alternating hot and cold stones resulting in the same naturopathic principles that you find in the combination of sauna and cold plungle pool. It tones and detoxifies, improves circulation, stimulates digestion and immunity, and calms and de-stresses. While hot stones can relieve tension & help warm the body, cold stones help the cells in the body to receive more oxygen and nutrients and encourages a more efficient removal of toxins.

This is an incredibly relaxing treatment, more penetrative than holistic or swedish massage, it helps eliminate negative energies and by resetting the body it helps to restore harmony in the body.

One of the key objectives in Reflexology is to keep the body in a state of Homeostasis (balance) and to enable the free flow of energy around the body. By applying gentle pressure to specific areas (reflexes) in the feet that correspond to specific parts of the body, the treatment seeks to free blockages and promote wellbeing.  Any corresponding physical problems may manifest as discomfort when manipulating a reflex but most clients report that the treatment is wonderfully relaxing and soothing, and many people fall asleep.
You will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment – apart from your shoes and socks. You may be seated or fully reclined while I work - whichever is most comfortable.
